First Spec Ops Triathlon / Monster Mash 2013

What is a Monster Mash?  For years tough military training contests have been referred to as Monster Mashes.  Not sure why - we just call them that!  Usually Monster Mashes involved several teams competing in boat races, road marches, swims, PT exercises, and other team building events.  On March 23, 2013, Saturday AM, the Heroes of Tomorrow trainers and students and guests will be completing a grueling FIVE hour event that consists of the following:
 

Spec Ops Triathlon / Monster Mash #1 - 2013

Tactical Fitness Clinic Timeline

0800  Create your own training plan (Periodization)

1000 Sports Medical and Sports Nutrition Review

1130 Lunch (supplied) / PST Clinic Presentation / CSS and Free Style Pool Instruction

1300 Monster Mash (race of PT / running / rucking / swimming/ PT).  The Special Ops Monster Mash Events

1 - 4 mile run
2 - 4 mile ruck (40lbs)
3 - 2 mile swim (with / without fins)

PLUS during your run, swim, ruck your goal is to achieve these numbers:
*4 - 1000 pushups
*5 - 1000 situps / abs of choice
*6 - 250 pullups
*7 - 250 dips

1730 1800 Presentation of Gifts / Awards

1800 - Mission Complete

        Special Ops Triathlon / Devil's Mile:
          Spec Ops Triathlon Mission:  Severna Park, MD

1800 -
Insertion
1 mile swim with fins in gear you will be running in

1830 - Infiltration
3 mile run

1900 - Action on the Objective:  Devil's Mile

1/4 mile bear crawl
1/4 mile walking lunge
1/4 mile burpee / broad jumps
1/4 mile fireman carry (partners split 1/4 mile)


1945 - Exfil / Extraction:  4 mile ruck (40lbs)

2100 - End OPS
